AIDM Project Update

AIDM Think Tank Highlight = Time is precious

The Think Tank held in BloomHQ in July was a great event that highlighted the need for more investment in technology that gives farmers back their time. Leo McGrane of UCD Lyons showcased the potential for Agri Innovation startups to receive support David Kelly highlighted that using something like Microsoft Excel is using Innovation for your farm, it doesn't have to be a huge investment to give you back a few hours of your time Peadar Casey showcased that Agri Innovation needs to be a local effort but can have a Global impact. The takeaway from the event shows a great interest in using innovation to make farming life easier for those working in the Agri industry. Farmers want access to basic technology training such as online banking and learning how to track soil sampling, drone technology, and assistance with grant applications.

We will run this event again on 8th September at 8 pm in BloomHQ Mountrath - Register HERE to attend

AIDM Drop-in Clinics Highlight = Support required with Agri-Food Startups In July and August, we held some drop-in clinics for those in the Agri-Food Industry to call in and ask about the AIDM project, and complete our survey to inform our research on the use of Agri Innovation in the Midlands and receive support from their Agri-Food Startup business.
